Using Flavors in E-Cigarettes/Vaping

LorAnn Oils cannot make any claims as to the safety of the use of flavoring substances in e-cigarettes based solely on the fact that these flavoring ingredients have been declared safe for use in food and beverage according to their intended use. In all scientific safety assessments of flavoring substances, it is stated that the flavoring substances are considered safe “under the conditions of intended use” as added to food and drink and up to the recommended concentration limits, based on relevant scientific evidence. Current safety testing paradigms rely on an established knowledge base regarding the impact of oral ingestion. While the use of flavors in e-cigarettes may ultimately not pose a safety concern, current safety assessment paradigms and much of the available metabolism and toxicity data for flavoring substances cannot be used to draw that conclusion.

LorAnn Oils does not advertise or promote its flavors for use in e-cigarettes. LorAnn has not tested its flavors for any purpose other than their use as an ingredient to be used in the preparation of foods to be consumed such as candy, cakes, cookies, and ice cream. Those using the flavors in e-cigarettes are doing so at their own risk and without warranty, either expressed or implied, from LorAnn Oils, Inc. or its suppliers.

All LorAnn flavors have been processed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and prescribed standards of sanitation as practiced in the industry. All ingredients are generally regarded as safe (GRAS), approved by a regulation of the FDA, or appear on the industry-approved register of safe ingredients for the flavor industry. LorAnn Oils is certified as a Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Manufacturer, achieving Level 2 Certification. SQF certification provides assurance the product and process complies with regulatory, international, and scientifically proven standards for safety. www.sqfi.com.
