Cinnamon Applesauce


6 pounds assorted sweet apples, peeled, cored and quartered
1 cup apple juice or cider
½ cup sugar, as desired
1-teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-teaspoon LorAnn Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract
2 drops LorAnn Cinnamon Oil (or as desired, up to 1/8 teaspoon)


Combine all ingredients in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan.  Cook over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until apples are soft and saucy, 1 to 1 ½ hours.  Add more sugar if needed.  If desired, stir in 1-tablespoon butter.
