INGREDIENTS

1 cup citric acid
2 cups baking soda
LorAnn pink liquid food color
10 - 20 drops total of Rose fragrance oil (or other floral scent)
1 tsp almond oil, sweet
Spray bottle filled with water
Molds
Dried rose petals, optional

Note: Do not use plastic bowls or utensils.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Measure the citric acid into a large bowl and sift the baking soda over the top. Add dried flowers if using.
  2. Add a few drops of coloring. (The color will show up after the water has been added).
  3. Sprinkle 20 drops total of fragrance oil over mixture and 1 teaspoon of almond oil and mix with your hands or a spoon until THOROUGHLY mixed.
  4. Using your spray bottle, lightly spray mixture with the water about 2 or 3 times. Do not over spray. Mix well with your hands; it should have the consistency of wet sand and clump together when squeezed. If too dry, spray once with water and repeat until mixture can be packed together.
  5. Quickly fill your mold, pressing firmly to compact the mixture. Brush away any excess mixture and flatten the top. Invert molds onto a cookie sheet or waxed paper and gently pop out the bath fizzie.
  6. Allow to air dry for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

To use, drop bath fizzie into tub of warm water - enjoy!
