Perfect for dough!

I purchased this to try with my doughnut recipe and it was delicious! Although, I think it deserves clarifying, the flavor is better with dough-based items. I have added it to pancakes and waffles and it was good, but wouldn't recommend in cakes or frostings.

I used this on suggestion from the author of a buttercream icing recipe online. The icing is fine but I fail to taste anything different with this flavoring. Maybe I should have used more-but I didn't detect any 'buttery sweet dough " flavor at all.

Smells wonderful but no flavor

I love Lorann oils. But this one smells wonderful but the flavor is not there regardless how much i used. I really wanted this to work because everything else I ordered was excellent.

I taste no 'butter' or 'sweet dough' flavor....only citrus, bleh.

Who wants there cakes/sweets to smell and taste like citrus?

Very disappointing.

I tried this in my sugar cookie recipe, all i can say is that 3 dozen cookies were gone in less than an hour. I'm definitely planning on purchasing the biggest bottle and use it in all my baked goods.

Smells wonderful but ....

Smells nice but did not work for making lip balm. I'll have to use it for something else.

LorAnn's Response: Hello, Lalaine. Our baking emulsions are water-soluble, so getting them to blend into something with an oil content, like lip balm, will be tricky. The addition of an emulsifier may yield you a better result. We tried a few drops of our lecithin with some of our water-soluble Super Strength flavorings in our own lip balm recipe, and found that not only did it help the flavoring stay blended, but also made the final color a bit brighter. Waffles Look Out!

I bought this to use in my vegan waffle mix and it was amazing. I have a waffle maker and made mine a little thin for more of a crunch and the flavor was out of this world. Topped with real maple syrup, breakfast just became my favorite meal.

I bought this flour because I was curious. I have found that this buttery with hint of citrus is what a lot of my quick breads need and I also put it in my shortbread cookies. Again, it gives your recipe a pickme up, something special.
