RECIPE TIP: Try substituting mini pretzel sticks for the puffed rice.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup puffed rice cereal
1 cup lightly salted cashews, chopped
2/3 cup dried cranberries, chopped
10 ounces white candy wafers
1/4 teaspoon LorAnn Black Cherry Super Strength flavor
1 ounce semisweet chocolate chips (for drizzle)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper and set aside. Place puffed rice cereal in a re-sealable sandwich bag and crush lightly with the heel of your hand. 
  2. In a medium bowl, combine crushed cereal, chopped cashews and chopped cranberries. 
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat candy wafers in microwave at 50% power in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring after each interval. Stir in Black Cherry flavor. Pour melted candy over the cereal mixture and stir to combine. 
  4. Drop mixture by the spoonful onto the prepared baking sheet. Allow clusters to stand at room temperature until firm, about 15 minutes. 
  5. Meanwhile, melt semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave in the same manner as the candy wafers. If chocolate seems thick, thin with a teaspoon of vegetable shortening. When clusters are firm, drizzle lightly with the melted chocolate. Store candy between sheets of waxed paper in an airtight container.
