A little goes a long way!  LorAnn’s super strength flavors (also known as candy oils or flavoring oils) are three to four times the strength of typical baking extracts. 

Typical uses: hard candy, general candy making, cakes, cookies, frosting, ice cream and a wide variety of other baking and confectionery applications. 

Note: When substituting super strength flavors for extracts, use ¼ to ½ teaspoon for 1 teaspoon of extract.

Potent Stuff!

No doubt this stuff is the most potent on the market. My challenge is that being hot as 300F if I put the oil in it will cook right off and hence lose the flavoring from it being turned to mist then evaporated. Is there any way to trap the flavor in the candy?

LorAnn Response: For the home candy maker, we suggest taking the pan off the heat and let it cool for a couple minutes while the boiling subsides. When the flavor is added, some will be lost in the rising steam and can’t be helped. Professional candy shops will pour the liquefied hard candy onto a marble cooling table before adding the flavor and folding it in.
