Superfood Granola Bar

This easy to make granola bar is packed with nutrition. Cut into bars, or crumble and use as a yogurt topping.



1 tbsp minced, fresh ginger
10 dates, chopped finely
1 cup oats
¼ cup raw sunflower seeds
¼ cup toasted coconut
¼ cup pepitas
½ cup walnuts, chopped
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
¼ tsp LorAnn Oils Orange Oil
½ tsp salt


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Line a 8x8 pan with parchment paper. 
  3. In a large bowl, add oats, sunflower seeds, toasted coconut, pepitas, walnuts, salt and chopped dates. Fork through to mix evenly. 
  4. In a small cup, combine maple syrup, coconut oil, and orange oil.  
  5. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and stir to coat completely. 
  6. Pour combined ingredients into lined baking dish and press granola mixture down evenly and firmly.
  7. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. 
  8. Let cool for 15 minutes. 
  9. Remove granola from baking dish by lifting up by the parchment paper. 
  10. Set on cutting board and cut into bars. 
  11. Once completely cooled, store into airtight container.
